Sunny and cold with wide spread frost but sunny and mild during the afternoon. A few cloudy patches are present over the Lowveld and the north-eastern parts of the northern interior including parts of the eastern Highveld where it is rather cold as well. Mostly sunny and on the cold side over most of Kwazulu-Natal with only a few cloudy patches along the northern coastal areas and I do not expect that the temperatures will recover much above 20 C for the afternoon. Sunny and very cold over most of the Freestate and Northern Cape with temperatures well below freezing with moderate to heavy frost at first and temperatures will only recover into the mid 10’s. Partly cloudy and cold over the south-west and south coast but mostly sunny and mild during the day. Not too bad along the south-east Cape coast with only a few spots with a few cloudy patches at first. Looks like a proper winters day over most of the country, thus stay warm and stay safe!!
