Good morning everyone:

Still cool at first but not as cold as it have been the last couple of mornings but that is due to pre-frontal weather meaning that we are still in the ..warm air’’ ahead of the cold front that is kicking in from the south-west. much  colder over the central and southern interior where the cold front has started to move in. There is even a bit of cloud over the western interior but still the temperature down to 2 C. The upper-air trough, near closed low, over the south coast yesterday that produced in total around as much as 60-70mm in and around the George area seem to fall flat significantly over the last 6-8 hours and although there are still a few rain patches along the south coast as far east as PE I think in most cases the rain will ease and may even clear somewhat as the day progress. It will however stay on the cold side. From Gauteng north and eastwards that will remain in the prefrontal stage temperatures will be lovely during the midday period and even warm over the northern and eastern parts during the day with fairly high fire danger index’s. The wind has shifted to south-west over KZN in most cases and that means the coastal low is starting to move in over the region and that may help to keep high maximums under control for the day, but please still not a licence to burn old fields, the risk of you creating strong thermal winds are still high thus do not take chances.  The colder air will gradually move in over most of the interior tomorrow on women’s day, thus a lot cooler but still without significant rain weather, good braai weather.

Have a lovely day and long week-end for those that goes on the roads, take care and remember it is still winter thus take enough warm stuff with you.
