According to reliable MacOtakara , Apple may remove the connector 3.5 mm jack on the next-generation iPhone in favor of a connector Lightning all-in-one . The Cupertino company could therefore present to the public new EarPods compatible with the new output of future iOS devices.


Stating that it is only a rumor and not of a certain record, Apple may get to make that decision to reduce as much as possible the thickness of the next iPhone , earning about 1mm. New connector means also new EarPods, that may be characterized by a connector Lightning and a digital-analog converter (DAC).

With the next iPhone probably will say goodbye to the standard 3.5 mm stereo jack, but Apple could simultaneously bring to market a new accessory, an adapter for those users who use headphones of previous generations with the new smartphone of Cupertino giant
