The iPhone 8 will no longer have the Touch ID: will be replaced by an iris scanner

DigiTimes adds load on a rumor regarding the iPhone 8. Most likely the next model will incorporate one eye scanner capable of reading the iris to unlock the phone.

To encourage innovative design and completely devoid of frames, the Touch ID will be removed and replaced by one of the iris scanner. Apple manages to integrate an OLED display 5.8 “within a large body than the current iPhone 7 Plus, just catching up additional space by completely absent frames.

The absence of Touch ID will also change the system of authorization of payments via Apple Pay. Also in this case the confirmation will take place with the optical scanning.

DigiTimes also reports that the iPhone’s 8 production has already started because it will take longer than necessary, partly because of OLEDs that will be thoroughly tested.
